The Lounge acknowledges the palawa people of lutruwita / Tasmania, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather, connect and create here in Launceston.
We acknowledge the deep and continuing connection of palawa people to Country, culture, community and kanamaluka / River Tamar, and recognise that these lands have been places of gathering, storytelling, knowledge and belonging for countless generations.
We pay our respects to Elders past and present and honour the strength, resilience and continuing culture of Tasmania's Aboriginal community.
Always was. Always will be. Aboriginal land.
